2027 Southern Cross Grammar Scholarships are now open
Southern Cross Gramar offers scholarships to outstanding students entering Years 7-11 in 2027. Our scholarships program opens doors and pathways for students striving for excellence too achieve their potential.
We offer four types of scholarships: Academic Scholarships, General Excellence Scholarships, Music Scholarships, and Indigenous Scholarships.
All scholarships are offered in the year prior to entry.
Who Can Apply for Southern Cross Grammar Scholarships?
Southern Cross Grammar’s scholarships are open to students entering Years 7-11 in 2027 who are:
- Prospective, new, or currently enrolled at Southern Cross Grammar; and
- a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia at the time of application
Please note that prospective families applying for a scholarship are to submit an Application for Enrolment prior to completing a Scholarship Application Form.
How to Apply and Application Requirements
Prospective families (families not on our waitlist or currently enrolled) are required to submit an Application for Enrolment prior to applying for a Scholarship.
To apply for a scholarship:
- Complete the desired Scholarship Application Form by 4:00pm, Friday 30 January 2026
- Register for the Edutest Academic Scholarship Examination by 4:00pm, Friday 30 January 2026
All candidates (except Music Scholarship candidates) are required to sit the Edutest Scholarship Examination.
We consider a range of supporting documents depending on the type of scholarship and its requirements. These include your child’s academic record and co-curricular information. Please carefully check the requirements in the Scholarship Application Forms for details.
2027 Scholarships Program
Southern Cross Grammar’s Academic Scholarships are awarded to academically gifted students who are ambitious in their learning and leadership. The scholarship nurtures students’ potential and drive for success through their secondary schooling and beyond the school gates as Alumni.
General Excellence Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in their academic pursuits and leadership in school life and beyond in our wider community. As future leaders the Scholarship nurtures their potential, work ethic, and drive to achieve great things.
At Southern Cross Grammar we encourage students’ passion for, and excellence in Music. Our Music Scholarships are awarded to students with exceptional musical ability to nurture their talent and high-performance.
Students applying solely for Music Scholarships are not required to sit the Edutest Academic Scholarship Examination.
Indigenous Student Scholarships provide opportunities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to attend Southern Cross Grammar at a significant discount. The scholarships are part of the School’s commitment to help improve education outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at the Secondary schooling level.

Scholarship candidates are required to sit the Edutest Academic Scholarship Examination on Saturday 7 February 2026.
Students applying solely for Music Scholarships are not required to sit the Edutest Academic Scholarship Examination.

2027 Music Scholarship Auditions begin in the week commencing Monday 23 February 2026. We will contact families before-hand with a date and time for your child’s audition.

Prospective families (families not on our waitlist or currently enrolled) are required to submit an Application for Enrolment prior to applying for a Scholarship and pay the $100 fee.
Edutest charges a $106 registration fee to sit the Academic Scholarship Examination.
As such prospective families pay $206 to apply for a scholarship and current families pay the Edutest $106 registration fee only.
Our Scholarship Program is highly popular and competitive, with a limited number of scholarships available. The number of scholarships offered is at the Principal’s discretion.
Upon review of results, shortlisted students will be invited for an interview with our Principal, Mr Brayden Stone. Following the interview successful students will receive a Scholarship offer. All families will be contacted and informed of their scholarship application outcome. Please note that we will not provide a copy of Edutest results.
Registrations for the 2027 Scholarships and Edutest Academic Scholarship Examination close at 4:00pm on Friday 30 January 2026.
The examination will occur on Saturday 7 February 2026 at 9:00am.
Students applying for the Academic Scholarship, General Excellence Scholarship, and Indigenous Scholarship are required to sit the Edutest examination.
Students applying solely for Music Scholarships are not required to sit the Edutest Academic Scholarship Examination.
The Edutest examination will take place at Southern Cross Grammar on Saturday 7 February 2026 at 9:00am.
Edutest offers remote testing for applicants who are unable to attend the in-person examination at an additional cost. Please contact remote@edutest.com.au immediately upon completing the Edutest application as remote testing arrangements can take several weeks to organise.

Mid-year scholarship opportunities are not available. Our scholarship program opens in Mid-December and scholarships are offered in the year prior to entry.

No, Edutest results will not be shared with families or other schools.
