We are delighted to welcome Mr Brayden Stone to Southern Cross Grammar (SCG) as our new Principal.
Mr Stone joins SCG with a wealth of experience in educational leadership and a commitment to student wellbeing, academic excellence, and community connection. His career spans over a decade in executive roles within Foundation to Year 12 schools, including as Principal of St Augustine's College and, most recently, as Director of the Ivanhoe Institute at Ivanhoe Grammar School.
Mr Stone’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for SCG, following significant growth and advancement in recent years and as we look ahead to celebrating our 15th year of operations.
Throughout his career, Mr Stone has championed innovation in teaching and learning, strengthened community partnerships, and fostered cultures where every student is known, supported, and inspired to thrive personally and academically.
His leadership has been marked by significant growth and transformation, with a focus on collaboration, clarity of vision, and a deep respect for the insight of students, staff, and families—qualities that align closely with SCG’s ethos.
“I feel truly honoured to join the Southern Cross Grammar community. From the moment I connected with SCG, I was inspired by its heart, its people, and its vision for learning that is deeply human and future-focused,” Mr Stone said.
“I am excited to walk alongside our students, staff and families, to listen, to learn, and to lead with care, purpose and optimism.”
We look forward to the visionary leadership and care Mr Stone will bring to his role. SCG stands ready to build on our strong foundations and embrace a new chapter of growth, innovation and a lasting impact for our students, staff, and wider community.
