Tournament of Minds is an Australia-wide problem-solving program for teams of students from both the primary and secondary years. Over a six-week period during Term 3, the students are required to solve demanding, open-ended challenges from one of the following disciplines:
Science Technology
Engineering Mathematics
Social Sciences
Language Literature
At SCG, Tournament of Minds is an opportunity for students with a passion for learning and problem-solving to demonstrate their skills and talents as part of a team. Students are required to work together to solve a problem, write a script and scenario, make their own props and costumes and perform in front of judges and an audience at La Trobe University.
Since our first involvement in Tournament of Minds in 2015, SCG has enjoyed exceptional results, being awarded three times with Judges Honours.
