Robert Findlay Appointed Head of Middle School

We are pleased to announce that commencing Term 1, 2026, Mr Robert Findlay will join Southern Cross Grammar as Head of Middle School and a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

Robert is an experienced educator and sub-school leader who has built a strong reputation for shaping positive, connected learning communities within the middle years. Across his leadership roles in Victorian schools, he has guided year-level teams, strengthened pastoral and academic support structures, and led initiatives that elevate student engagement, wellbeing, and achievement.

A hallmark of Robert’s practice is his commitment to helping young people uncover their inner drive. He encourages students to take ownership of their learning, recognise and develop their strengths, and strive towards personal excellence.

With extensive experience supporting students with diverse learning and social-emotional needs, Robert has implemented structured intervention pathways, restorative practices, and championed transition programs that help students feel confident, capable, and empowered to thrive. His leadership is grounded in strong relationships and an unwavering belief in the potential of every student.
